Metallica “Phantom Lord” San Francisco, 1982 Mustaine Mayhem Euronymous DIY LP
Hello metal collectors,
Up for sale is the legendary “Metallica: Phantom Lord, San Francisco, November 29, 1982” LP, from 1988, on Brutal Death Records (POE 001), Norway. This pressing was overseen by Oystein Aarseth, aka Euronymous from the band Mayhem. This is the vinyl edition sourced from the same show released on Metallica’s private Demo cassette, “Live Metal Up Your A**”, which featured Dave Mustaine on guitar and the last appearance of Ron McGovney on bass.
The DIY cover is well cared for and in excellent shape. The LP is also in excellent condition. Keep in mind the audio source is lo-fi and unedited. With some EQ tweaking and raising the volume it sounds quite good considering! Included is the original promotional yellow Flyer/insert.
This record is an amazing snap shot in time of the early Bay Area thrash scene. Get this one while you can!
