This collection of Scientific American Publications printed during the Civil War were purchased from a museum in Canada. It is every issue of this weekly publication from the 1st of July to the end of December 1864. It has a binder holding every issue in place that I am not sure when it was added. It is an old binder though and may be original to the time. Some pages have tears but I have not noticed any ripped completely through a page nor have I seen any missing pages. This is a Great Piece Of History and articles are written describing the war as it happened or how they thought it happened at the time. They also have articles on patents with many of them being improvements to weapons being used out on the battlefield. The illustrations are beautiful and the stories are entertaining if you're any kind of history buff. Approximately 28 issues covering the 1st of July 1864 until the end of the year. These are a very nice addition to someone's collection
