This authentic United States Marine Corps Rifle Sharpshooter Badge was awarded to Marines who achieved a qualifying score during their annual rifle qualification.
To earn this distinction, a Marine must score between 280 and 304 points, placing them in the second-highest marksmanship category, just below “Expert” and above “Marksman.” Once earned, the badge could be worn throughout a Marine’s career unless a higher qualification was achieved.
