VTG 60s McKusick Quail 3" Tile Art Tin Frame Desert House Crafts AZ Southwestern
This 3-inch handpainted tile features the beautiful pottery artwork of Gila McKusick in the early 1960's. The McKusicks had a very diverse career in the pottery and tile business. Their association with Desert House Crafts in Tucson, Arizona was a transformation for both Desert House and themselves. The tin frame was most likely made by Louella Stevens at Desert House. Tile is in perfect condition. Frame has signs of aging and scratches/ spotting. (Please see photos for details) With the frame the piece measures a total of 4.5 inches square.
